This is one of three paintings: Atomic—the basic building blocks of matter, Edaphic—nature at a human scale, and Cosmic—the universe and space. These studies represent the deeply rooted interconnectivity between three key scales that make up everything we experience as human beings. This includes the very materials that make us who we are.
Like much of Daniel’s work, the subject is intentionally ambiguous and repetition is used to give the impression that the painting could continue beyond the canvas.
